Research Paper Processing

The sheer volume of scientific literature is overwhelming. This template is featured in Notion's official "Researcher Toolkit" because it alleviates the challenges of literature review by providing a proven methodology to discern, prioritize, understand, and digest research papers. The system is equipped to quickly capture research papers, organize them, and facilitate an information processing workflow, while also providing an easy-to-navigate repository of processed papers. It is the same template I describe in detail in my blog post, “A Systematic Approach to Processing Research Literature.”

Additionally, the template offers comprehensive educational material, including a workflow diagram, of how to apply the “three-pass methodology” with this system. The template also comes with a "System Card" that explains what the databases and views are for, as well as an instructions manual to help you set up the system.
